Keep Awake — Privacy policy
Updated:
Keep Awake does not collect, store or share any personal data. No account, no ads, no tracking.
- How it works: The app asks Windows, through the documented
SetThreadExecutionStateAPI, not to sleep and optionally not to turn off the display. Your Windows settings are never changed permanently; the request ends when the app stops or exits. - App rules: If you use "Stay awake while these apps are running", the app only checks whether the program names you added (e.g.
obs64.exe) are running. It never reads their content, windows or documents. The list of running apps shown in the "Add app" menu is only displayed on your screen and is not sent anywhere. - Full-screen and battery rules: The "full-screen app is open" state reported by Windows and the charging/battery level are read locally and never leave your PC.
- When time is up: Turning off the screen, locking, sleeping or shutting down only happens if you choose it, after a 60-second warning.
- Settings: Stored only on this PC, in
%APPDATA%\KeepAwake. - Internet: The Microsoft Store version never connects to the internet on its own; updates come through the Store. The setup version, if "Check for updates automatically" is on, reads a small version file on GitHub at most once a day. No personal information is sent and the feature can be turned off. Links such as "Report a bug / idea" or "App page" open in your browser only when you click them.
You can delete the app's settings when you uninstall it.
